TRESSIDER STUDENT UNION RENOVATION

INFO

PROJECT INFORMATION

CLIENT: Stanford University, University Dining Services
LOCATION: Campus Drive, Stanford, California
SIZE: 7,000 Square Feet
COST: $1,200,000

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Stanford University's Student Union was long overdue for an upgrade. The university wanted to add multiple food service vendors, and create a student lounge, a gracious dining room, and a lively food court. The greatest challenge was meeting the university's aggressive schedule of six months for design and construction.

CAW was able to deliver the project on the accelerated schedule and meet the owner's needs for a welcoming student facility, all by working closely and collaboratively with the owner, contractor, and numerous consultants.

HOW CAW DID THIS

  • Colorful walls and finishes divide the space into a variety of areas for lounging, studying, and eating, and transform the outmoded facilities into a dynamic and inviting environment.
  • The servery provides multiple stations featuring "exhibition cooking."
  • New lighting fixtures, finishes, and furniture create a vibrant, comfortable, and welcoming place for students.

KEY PARTICIPANTS
